An incident is described by a book of Urdu language. ‘Fuzail Bin Ayaz’ was a very old and powerful personality in the history of Arab. Whenever caravans of merchants carried goods on camels had been passing through his area, then Fuzail had robbed them with the help of his crew. Firstly he used to kill all the merchants and after he used to rob their all goods.

 

Once a time, a caravan of merchants was passing. Fuzail blocked their way and started killing the merchants. He killed all the merchants except one old people. When Fuzail target that old man with his sword to attack on him then the old man said, Fuzail, you will have definitely kill me, but I have one last wish. When Fuzail asked for his last wish, the old man replied:

 

I have the sacred ‘Quran Sharif‘ is in my bag. For the last time I want to read the ‘Holy Quran’ before I die. Fuzail thought that I will have kill him. And, give the permission to read the Holy Quran. The old man took out the Holy Quran from his bag and opened it. And, readed a verse from ‘Surah A Israit’. The meaning of the verse was:

‘O man, no matter how many sins you have committed in your life, if you repent before you die, God will still forgive you.‘

 

When he listened the meaning of verse then the ground slipped under the feet of Fuzail.

 

Because, he thought even though this old person has never sinned and before his death, he is telling God that I want to repent. And, I don’t know how many sins I have committed in my life, how can God forgive me? Fuzail put his Sword back in scabbard and took a decision that he will not kill anyone anymore.

 

Now the same Fuzail Bin Ayaz became ‘Darvesh’. He stopped killing people. One day a caravan was passing. The leader of caravan saw that the area of Fuzail has come, he say in loud voice that oh my caravan members, change your path because this is the area of Fuzail. But, the leader did not know that the Fuzail had left the thug life and became ‘Darvesh’.

 

Fuzail came out from his slum and said in a loud voice, “You don’t have to change your route. Now Fuzail Bin Ayaz has changed his route.” This was the turning point in life of Fuzail Bin Ayaz.
